Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees

Adorable Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees are not only another sweet treat but a decoration as well. And who does not like peanut butter cups ?!

Christmas Trees

What a year this has been !  Edible gift giving is one of my favorites, however, this year I make things a little different.

That is where it is possible, like these cute Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees ! All candies still wrapped, so safe to hand out at school or pop into a stocking stuffer.

They are not only a delicious chocolate peanut butter treat, but serves as a table decoration as well.

Simply pop one here and there on your Christmas table, and especially if you have a separate kiddies table.

Do however follow the guidelines in the how-to-card down below, in order for all to know the candies are still wrapped.

Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees

Last year the Reese’s peanut butter cups as well as the Hershey’s Kisses were available in festive colored wrappings.

Unfortunately with all the 2020 laws, I could not get hold of the festive ones and settled for the normal everyday wrapped candies.

What do I need to make Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees :

  • 12 Peanut Butter Cups, (try to get the festive wrapped)
  • 6 Hershey’s Kisses
  • 1/3 cup Melted Chocolate, plain or white
  • 2 TB Sprinkles, on a small plate works best

And a couple of minutes of your time – that is it !

Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees

My granddaughter, 21 months now, helped me making these tiny trees. The one to the far left, front, she made all by herself !

She is a huge peanut butter cup fan and must have thought it was already Christmas. So many BIG (I buy her the mini’s usually), cups, but soon she caught on what I was doing so I let her make one as well.

Right, there was a little more chocolate on her than on the treat, but that made the experience so much more exciting !

Go on, get the little ones to help you too – they would love making these easy Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees.

Course Christmas
Prep Time 15 minutes
Chill Time 2 minutes
Total Time 17 minutes
Servings 6 Trees

Ingredients

  • 12 Peanut Butter Cups (try to get the festive wrapped)
  • 6 Hershey's Kisses
  • cup Melted Chocolate plain or white
  • 2 TB Sprinkles on a small plate works best

Instructions

  • Place 6 Peanut Butter cups (unwrapped) on a plate - drop a tiny bit of the melted chocolate on the top - add another peanut butter cup (broad size down) on the melted chocolate drop and press gently into place
  • Add another tiny drop of chocolate to the top of the second peanut butter cup - stick one Hershey Kiss on top, pressing gently again - place in the refrigerator for a minute
  • Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees
  • Remove from the refrigerator - brush with the remaining melted chocolate and roll into Sprinkles - return to refrigerator another minute or until set (see note below)

Notes

  • By using wrapped candies please allow a gap here and there for the eaters to see it is still wrapped
  • If using unwrapped candies (except the bottom which you want to show off) you can cover the tip candies entirely with chocolate and sprinkles
  • Should you decide to make the trees well in advance and keeping in a sealed container in the refrigerator, do remember to remove the treats about an hour before serving, especially since some/all of the candies are still wrapped (easier to loosen when eating)
