My son and I practically live on this Fall Trail Mix during not only Fall, but throughout Winter.
We snack on this all day long and it provides us both with loads of nutrients.
It is a great snack for him, as he works out in the gym every day, except Sundays and together with a protein drink, this Trail Mix give him all the boost he needs.
Nuts, seeds, whole grains and fruit are all essential in a healthy snack and this Fall Trail Mix has them all.
I might add some caramel chocolate chips to mine as well, but I actually like this mix as is and very rarely add candy or chocolate – never to my son’s anyway.
Keep a batch handy and whenever you need a quick pick-me-up, just dip into your batch and enjoy a handful (or two!).
I also pack them in paper bags, each containing about a 1/2 cup of the Trail Mix. But there are no rules with snacks, are there ?

- 1 cup Pecan Nuts, broken in half
- 1 1/2 cups Dried Apple Rings, chopped
- 3/4 cup Pumpkin Seeds
- 3 cups Cookie Crisp (in the Cereal aisle)

- 1/4 t Ground Nutmeg
