Choc Chip Flower Cups {Microwave}

I bought a set of silicone cups with saucers a while ago, and thought it is about time that I tested them.  One and a half minute Chocolate Chip Cupcakes in the microwave and all that was left, was the decorating part, which turned out to be fun! These Flowery decorated Cupcakes are perfect for Easter, Spring or Mother’s Day {which is also around the corner}.

A few weeks ago, I also bought some white, basic fondant, which I intended to use immediately, but somehow never gotten around to.  Fortunately, fondant keeps well in an airtight container {well wrapped with plastic wrap}.
I used a recipe found at Chocolate, Chocolate and more Chocolate , which I have made several times already.

Choc Chip Flower Cups

{recipe enough for 2 standard size Mug Cupcakes or 4 small Cupcakes}

1 Egg
3 TB Brown Sugar

1/3 cup Flour
1 TB Butter, softened
1/4 t Vanilla
3 – 4 TB Chocolate Chips

4 TB Caramel Condensed Milk
Green Fondant   {I added a drop or two green food coloring to my plain fondant}
Small Icing Flowers/Roses and Wafer Leaves

1.) Mix together the Egg, Brown Sugar, Flour, Butter, Vanilla and Chocolate Chips – spoon batter into mugs or small cups {the cupcakes does not rise much during baking} – Microwave on HIGH for 1 1/2 minutes until the top has set.

Let the cupcakes cool completely – divide the Caramel Condensed Milk and spread over the top of the cupcakes.

Fondant is like playing with play-doh !  I formed balls which I then flattened a bit, pricked with a fork {to create a grass look – added this to the top of the Caramel and rounded everything off with some store-bought icing Flowers/Roses and Leaves.
