Quick Chocolate Delights

Quick Chocolate Delights ~ Layered chocolate mousse, cookie crumbs and meringue pieces ~ Quick & Easy ! #Desserts #LayeredDessert #ChocolateDessert #ChocolatePudding

I had a rough couple of weeks behind me, having been in excruciating pain most of the time. If it's not my arms and shoulders, it is a pancreatic attack. These quick Chocolate Delights were just about the only thing I could actually handle this past week.

Some weeks back, I had seen these containers of Chocolate Desserts on the same shelves in the supermarket as the ready made, long life custards. Note to myself stored way back in my head immediately and yesterday I remembered the Desserts I'd seen then.

I know this Chocolate Dessert is not available in all countries - if any - and I am giving you some alternatives to use instead.

Just have a look at what one can do with this delicious dessert {this is not a sponsored post, by the way!}

I of course opted to whip it up into a mousse and use the Chocolate Dessert this way.... freezing a whipped batch will be next ;-)

Anyhow, I felt bad for not preparing dinner or anything else for that matter, this past week and seeing as Cheri is home almost every weekend now, I wanted to make something , anything really, as long as it was something delicious and most of all - quick and easy.

These quick Chocolate Delights were perfect ! I had found the recipe in a magazine {or their online site.. not sure} a while ago and it seemed so easy, I actually had it memorized since then. The desserts are almost like a trifle, but without any fruit and the broken pieces of Meringue are just to die for delicious especially if the dessert has been standing a little time before serving.

* - Alternatives for Velvet Chocolate Dessert - equal quantities of thick chocolate custard, homemade or store-bought Chocolate Mousse.

6 Large  or 10 Small

3 cups Velvet Chocolate Dessert, refrigerated and whipped to 4 1/2 cups {see * for alternatives}
1 1/2 cups Meringue pieces, broken
1 Box (200g) Romany Creams {or Oreos}, crumbled
Whipped Cream, to top
Red Glace Cherries, to top

1.) Scoop half the whipped Chocolate Dessert {or alternative} into the bottom of the serving glasses/bowls.
2.) Top with half of the Meringue pieces, followed by half the Romany Creams.
3.) Repeat layers - top each dessert with Whipped Cream and a Red Glace Cherry.

Serve immediately or keep refrigerated until ready to serve {2 - 4 hours}
