Honey Bacon & Cheese Deviled Eggs

An always welcome snack - Deviled Eggs.  There are so many ways to make them and I am sure everyone has their own favorite recipe, but for once I did not go the usual way and tried something different, which I am glad to say, was delicious.

I have noticed that Deviled Eggs are always the first to disappear from the snack trays.... this is definitely one of the savory snacks {no matter the different versions} that has stuck through the decades.

Truth be told, give me some with only mayo and I will clean the plate!

Honey Bacon & Cheese Deviled Eggs

12 Hard-Boiled Eggs, shelled and cut lengthwise
1/3 cup Mayonnaise
1 TB Mustard
2 TB Cheddar Cheese, finely grated
Pinch Salt
Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
1/4 cup Bacon, crisp cooked and crumbled
1 t Honey
Fresh Parsley, chopped

Extra Bacon Crumbs - to garnish  {optional}

1.) Remove the Egg Yolks and mash finely - add the Mayonnaise, Mustard, Cheddar, Salt & Black Pepper - mix.
2.) Add the Honey to the crumbled Bacon - mix well - stir into the Egg Yolk mixture.
3.) Spoon into the cooked Egg Whites - sprinkle with Parsley and extra Bacon {if using}

Chill until serving time - you can make this a day before, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
