Coco-Rose Hand Lotion

Coco-Rose Hand Lotion ~ Lovely Christmas / Mother's Day gift idea or DIY some for yourself and it smells and feels amazing ! #GiftIdea #DIYGifts www.withablast.net

Have you ever smelled Coconut and Rose together? It is a first for me and I was quite surprised to find how wonderful the two fragrances are when added to one another.

I made small handbag size hand lotions to add as stocking fillers and this is also great as a teacher's gift or something to a friend, a party favor or just for your own use.

This lotion is suitable for your hands or body, but not your face as it is rich {perfect for gardeners, by the way...}

I have a lot of empty herb and spice holders which came in very handy here ! {hey, I am doing the green thing here, re-purposing ...}

What I have used;

- 4 TB Cocoa Butter Body Cream
- 2 TB Rose Water
- 2 TB Pure Glycerine
- Rosewood Essential Oil {about 4-5 drops}
- Edible glitter {not normal glitter}  - optional, I used this to get the tiniest bit of shine and an off-white pink color
Container - 100 - 120ml capacity

Mix the Cocoa Butter, Rose Water, Glycerine and Essential Oil very well, until there are no more lumps and the lotion is smooth - add Edible Glitter (if using), as much or as little as you like... I used about 1/2 teaspoon

Pour into the container and decorate with ribbon, stickers etc.

Experiment with other Essential Oils as well - Peppermint may be very cooling for tired hands ....

  2. I'd like to try making this. I used to make all my own soaps, lotions and body butters and haven't done it in years. Maybe I need to start that up again. I stopped by from Sunny Simple.
