The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are now available in our stores, but they are ridiculously expensive. To make small individual cups takes a bit of time, which I do not like … and in comes the Peanut Butter Cup Bars !

Until about 2 years ago, I have never had a Peanut Butter Cup … really !

The Reese’s brand was not available in our general supermarket stores and one could only get them from a speciality store, which we did not have one close enough.

I remember the first batch of PB Cups I made at home – instant addiction.

Same delicious taste, less work and 25 – 30 bars are ready in less than 25 minutes. Now that is something I can live with.

My son still refuses to eat Peanut Butter anything, except when it is spread on bread. He might have been changed with another baby in hospital – only explanation I can think of !

Well, I say, more for myself .. oh, and the rest of the family of course.

  3. I can't believe you didn't have peanut butter cups until two years ago – oh, what you had been missing 🙂 This recipe looks great and reminds me of the bars they used to serve us in our school cafeteria. There is a variation of this recipe they make in my home state of Ohio called buckeyes, which you might also like. Cheers – Ellen

  4. I admit it. I don't have a lot of patience for fiddly cooking things like rolling dozens of something. This is why I always choose cake over cupcakes! I like this simpler prep, Linda. Thank you for linking.

  5. Visiting from Happiness is Homemade Link Party. I love peanut butter cups, they are very expensive here too. These bars look lovely. I co-host Sweet and Savoury Sunday and would for you to stop by and share these and other recipes with us when the party goes live on Sunday night. Have a great day!

  6. I can't eat a regular peanut butter cup because they contain milk, so these are perfect for me Linda!! Which could be a dangerous thing. I love peanut butter and chocolate together! 😉
