This Lemon Apple Zinger is a perfect thirst quencher. It is more on the sour side, so if you have picky drinkers who do not like sour drinks, try a sweeter variety of apple and add a little bit of honey to make it more sweet.
I used my juicer and placed everything, except the Ginger unpeeled in the juicer.
It makes a lovely froth at the top, but do have a stirrer ready, as the drink do tend to break into two layers if not stirred occasionally.
Lemon Apple Zinger
3 Green Apples, quartered
1 Lemon, quartered
2 cm piece Ginger, peeled ( 1 inch )
15 cm piece English Cucumber, chopped roughly ( 3 inches )
Mint Leaves, to garnish
1.) Place all the ingredients, except the Mint, in a juicer – juice and pour into serving glasses with a cube of ice and serve, garnished with a Mint Leaf immediately.
