Cinnamon S'Mores Cake {Sandwich Maker}

Cinnamon S'Mores Cake [Sandwich Maker]

Want a sweet treat in a flash?  Use your sandwich maker, a.k.a. snackwich maker ! Minutes to prepare the batter and another few minutes to cook and finish off.

The idea was to make cake sandwiches sprinkled with Cinnamon Sugar - but as you can see - S'Mores ! The bag of Marshmallows were on the counter while I waited for the cake to finish cooking/baking? in the sandwich maker, and I took it a step or two further.

The end result was a kind of Cinnamon donutty/cake with a S'Mores topping AND an additional drizzle of Toffee sauce - perfect!

20 Triangles

1 1/2 cups Flour
1 t Baking Soda
1/2 t Salt
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Butter, softened
2 Eggs
1 t Vanilla
1/2 cup Milk
Cinnamon Sugar, to sprinkle
10 Large Marshmallows, halved
Toffee Sauce

  1. ) Sift together the Flour,Baking Soda and Salt - keep aside.
  2. ) Beat together the Sugar and Butter until creamy - add the Eggs, one-by-one, the Vanilla and Milk - beat until well combined.
  3. ) Slowly fold in the Flour mixture - do not over-mix.
  4. ) Pre-heat your sandwich maker to the supplier's directions - scoop in batter to just under the rim of each Triangle - close the lid and cook - when done - repeat with the next batch.
  5. ) Sprinkle with Cinnamon Sugar and place half of a Marshmallow in the center of each triangle.
  6. ) Once all is done - place on a baking paper lined baking sheet - place under the grill element of your oven - keep an eye on the Marshmallow - it browns very quickly.
As soon as the Marshmallows are browned on top and have expanded a bit, remove from the oven and gently press down on the Marshmallow {the browned piece} using the back of a spoon.

Drizzle with Toffee Sauce and serve !

Next time you are in the mood for a slice of cake in a hurry - remember your sandwich maker !
