Pre-heat oven to 180 deg C (350 deg F) – Spray a large oven dish with cooking oil
Cook the Macaroni as per the instructions on the bag
Meanwhile, using a large skillet, saute the Onion and Mushrooms in the Butter until soft and nicely browned – add the Ground Beef and stir-fry until cooked – season with Salt and Black Pepper
Drain the Macaroni – use half of the cooked Macaroni for the bottom layer in the prepared oven dish – sprinkle 1/3 of the Cheddar Cheese over the Macaroni – spoon half of the Meat mixture on top of the Cheese layer, followed by half the Green Bell Pepper and half the Tomato
Repeat the layers in the same order, ending with the remaining 1/3 of the Cheddar Cheese – Bake 20 – 25 minutes or until heated through and the cheese has melted
Remove from the oven – let stand for 3 – 5 minutes and serve
