Decadent Chili Chocolate Brownies ~ These Chili Infused, gooey Chocolate Brownies have a spicy bite to them and make the perfect Valentines Day treat ( or any other day ! ).
250gDark Chocolategood eating quality, broken ( 8 oz )
¼cupButter
½cupChili Infused Avocado Oil
1TBInstant Coffee Granules/Powder
1tVanilla Essence
2Extra-LargeEggs
1cupSugar
1 ¼cupFlour
¼tSalt( omit if using salted Butter )
1cupPecan Nutsroughly chopped
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 160 deg C (325 deg F) – line a 20 x 30cm oven dish with baking paper
Place the Chocolate, Butter, Oil and Coffee in a medium saucepan – heat on low, stir until the Chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth – remove from the heat – stir in the Vanilla and let cool 5 minutes
Beat together the Eggs and Sugar until thick and foamy – beat into the Chocolate mixture
Fold in the Flour, Salt {if using} and the Pecan Nuts until just mixed – transfer to the prepared oven dish and bake 20 – 25 minutes until the edges are firm, but the center is still slightly soft
