Amarula Cream Sauce For Steak

Amarula Cream Sauce is the perfect accompaniment for your juicy steak. Very unique and special sauce especially when entertaining !

Tired of your old Steak sauces ? This Amarula Cream Sauce is perfect for Steaks !

If you are tired of the usual Mushroom sauce or Cheese sauce, give this Amarula Cream Sauce for Steak a try next time you are having a juicy Steak.

We are in our last week of Winter and our Spring starts next week, September 1st in South-Africa.

Later on in September, the 24th, we celebrate our National Heritage Day, which may actually be better known as National Braai (Barbecue) Day.

South-Africans love to braai ! We do not have a braai season, it happens all year round, and not only over weekends, but during the week too.

To get my menu in order for the National Holiday, I am trying out new recipes to pair up with older, more traditional dishes.

And this Amarula Cream Sauce for Steaks was one of the first recipes to get a huge thumbs up from everyone and it will most definitely be on the menu.

The sauce is so creamy and bursts with taste, with a more than only a hint of Amarula ! Salty, sweet, fruity, it’s all in this sauce and compliments a juicy steak perfectly.

Even though I have not tried the sauce over Pork yet, I am sure it will be a winning combination too ! Mainly due to the very unique fruity taste, which always works well with Pork anyway.

The tiny bits you see in the photos are actually from the KNORR Stock Pot I have used.

Other than that, it is just one creamy, delicious (and rich!) sauce, which would most definitely spark a conversation or three at dinner time, or when you have guests over for a barbecue.

I also think this Amarula Cream Sauce is elegant enough to serve with a more formal dinner when you entertain. And to end off a great meal, remember to have a glass of Amarula afterwards !

Can you use Baileys instead of Amaurla for this recipe

Absolutely, Connie ! The taste is a bit different, but just as delicious, especially if you are a Bailey's fan !

Hi Debra, the Knorr Stock Pot is a small pot which you add to boiling water to make stock. Feel free to use any Vegetable stock (homemade/cubes or powder - mixed to the required quantity. I just love this particular Knorr brand

we went to South Africa last year and had a lot of Amarula but never saw it in a savoy dish. This sounds really good. I would love to try it

Interesting! I would've never thought about adding liquor to the steak sauce.
