Easiest Cheese Puffs Ever

Easiest Cheese Puffs Ever – Blitz – bake and serve ! Delicious snack served warm (or cold) with butter and if you prefer a small slice of cheese

Easiest Cheese Puffs Ever

These mini cheese puffs are really the Easiest Cheese Puffs Ever ! Blitz all the ingredients in the blender until mixed and bake – that’s it !

I make these quite often as a snack while we catch up on some of our TV series’ which Roy and I follow. And they are also perfect on a cheese platter served with a glass of good red wine.

The Cheese Puffs are light and moist, therefore can be served as is, but I love a small dot of butter on them when they’re still warm.

A Nice cream cheese spread or something similar are also great to serve with on the side.

I know the kids like to break the Puffs open and give it a small spread of something or a tiny piece of Gouda cheese are also a favorite.

To me they are most delicious as is, and best of all – sprinkle chopped up Spring Onions over the puffs as soon as they come out of the oven.

The Puffs somehow soak up (for lack of a better word!) the taste of the Spring Onions without overpowering the overall taste of the Puffs.

Ingredients

  • 1 large Egg
  • cup Olive Oil extra virgin
  • cup Milk
  • 1 ½ cups Flour
  • 1 t Salt
  • ½ cup Cheese finely grated, (I use a combo of Cheddar and Mozzarella)
  • Paprika to sprinkle

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 180 deg c (350 deg F) – spray 2 x 12 hole mini muffin pans with cooking oil
  • Place all the ingredients (except the Paprika) in a blender/processor – blend until smooth (it won’t be 100% smooth because of the Cheese), scraping the sides regularly
  • Fill each muffin hole 2/3 full – sprinkle with Paprika and bake 15 – 18 minutes until puffed and golden

Best served warm with butter and cheese – and a glass of Red Wine is also okay !
