My Kids, My Valentines

Everyone knows there are different kinds of love, but the love for your child, in my book anyway, will be forever, beyond and nobody can change that.  Therefore, my crafty project today = My Kids, My Valentines!

I know I met their Daddy first but sometimes, well, he, as do I, must accept that when one has kids, the world changes and you must take a step back. The love might, {or might not} stay the same and even grew between husband and wife - it is just a different kind of love.

Well, my explaining why Dimitri & Cheri are featured is done - they are and will always be my number one Valentines !

I started by printing these lovely vintage hearts from Free Pretty Things For You which you can find HERE on their website - you can choose from many different sizes, and above all, there are a lot of really cool stuff over there - hang around a bit, I did !... for almost an hour...

Next, I printed black and white pics of the kids and cut them into heart shapes

Paste the pics and the printed hearts onto cardboard {or print straight onto cardboard} - cut them out - Left is a pic already glued onto the heart "background" - Right is to show you more or less how I have positioned them from the back view

Both pics glued to the hearts, which I glued onto clear pink drinking straws - I then took my smallest flower vase, filled it with pink glass sand and stuck in my straws with the above pictures and finally added a velvet red heart to the front of the vase.

Linking up with these cool parties:
