Beetroot, Sesame- & Poppy Seed Bread

What a delightful tea time bread !  I had this recipe bookmarked to make for about two months and now that I finally tried it, I am sorry I did not make some earlier on.

My bread did not quite come out as red as the picture in the magazine, though .. right, not really the point, it was delicious.

I served it warm with some butter which melted into the bread, and that made it doubly delicious.

Beetroot, Sesame- & Poppy Seed Bread

200g Beetroot, cooked
1 cup Caster Sugar
3 Extra-Large Eggs
100ml Oil {I used Sunflower}
200ml Buttermilk
2 cups Flour  {this can be replaced with Spelt or Oat Flour}
1/2 TB Baking Powder
1/2 t Salt
3 TB Sesame Seeds
3 TB Poppy Seeds

1.) Pre-heat the oven to 180 deg C (350 deg F) - Spray a medium loaf pan with Spray 'N Cook and line the bottom with baking paper.
2.) Place the Beetroot, Caster sugar, Eggs, Oil and Buttermilk in a food processor and blitz until smooth.
3.) Fold in the Flour, Baking Powder, Salt, Sesame seeds and Poppy seeds.
4.) Pour into the prepared loaf pan and bake 45 - 50 minutes until risen and a tester comes out clean.

Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Hope you enjoy this as much as we did !
