BLT Sandwich

Good old BLT Sandwich !  Since I started blogging it seems I am forever trying out new recipes {but oh, there are so many awesome recipes around blog world!}, and forgetting about the golden oldies.

Take this BLT Sandwich for instance, I made this the other day and enjoyed it so much, that I really started thinking about my eating habits before entering first, Pinterest and thereafter reading blog after blog with all those tasty looking pics which I just have to try out...

Anyhow, most everyone knows what a BLT is and how to make it, but just in case you also "forgot" about this simple, yet delicious, sandwich ... here I am, reminding you !!  Are there any favorites which you used to make, but have not for a while, just because you are like me, checking out {and trying out} all the new fancy recipes ?  Tell me I am not the only one, please.

BLT Sandwich

{4 - 6 servings}

1 Long French Bread
3 Tomatoes, sliced
250g Streaky Bacon, cooked {crispy or not}
1/4 cup Creme Fraiche
2 TB Dijon Mustard
Butter/Margarine, for spreading
Salt & Black Pepper, to taste

1.) Slice the bread as you will a bun - spread lightly with Butter or Margarine.
2.) Mix the Creme Fraiche and the Mustard - spread a thick layer on the bottom slice of the bread.
3.) Top with Lettuce, Tomato slices - season to taste with Salt & Black Pepper.
4.) Finally, place a layer, or two, of cooked Bacon on the Tomatoes and replace the top slice of bread.

20 minutes tops, and you have a delicious sandwich - this is especially great for lunch.

Remember your oldies and share them, you might just remind me of something else I have forgotten about over time.

However --- Keep up with the new recipes - I AM still in the market for anything new to try !
