Framed Key Holders

This is not really a tutorial - more like an idea how to keep your keys in one place and at the same time using an akward piece of wall.

On the left of the wall is the dining room and to the right is the passage to the bedrooms and bathrooms - I think this is more like a type of pillar..??

Anyhow, our keys were always either lost, or thrown all over the place!

What I did here :  Removed the backing and the glass, which left me with only the frames. I glued the frames to the wall using no-more-nails glue. Added some fancy looking hooks inside the frame, as high up as possible (screws were included with the hooks, but I used no-more-nails glue again).

Wait for the glue on the hooks to completely dry before hanging any keys on them.

We have painted this wall since I glued the frames to the wall, I used a craft paint brush to get into every corner, which worked very well.

All in all, I'd say this is a small piece of art in a way. Any other art or photographs I wanted to hang on this specific wall, just didn't look right.

At least everyone now knows where all the keys are {or should be!}

Just sharing a little piece of my house with you {whink}

Ciao for now,

    1. Thank you! At least we know where the keys are now and it's the closest place to hang keys when anyone of us enters, so nobody leaves it elsewhere ..

    1. My son Dimitri, still storms in here after work - taking his keys to his bedroom, and a few minutes later when he wants to leave for gym .. yep, the keys are missing. But at least when he is in no hurry, he hangs his car keys on the framed hooks.
